History was made in London on Saturday 28th August 2004 at the Marriott Hotel in Kensington when the Nigerian Trade and Investment Centre (NTIC) hosted dignitaries at a dinner investment presentation, unveiling the Gateway City project by His Excellency Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Governor of Ogun State. Last Tuesday, Governor Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State performed the Turning of the Sod of Havilah Villas, one of the several estates that would comprise Gateway City. Amid pomp and pageantry, the state government set out to actualise its vision, 'to grow' the 20,000 hectares stretch spanning Isheri-Ojodu to the Sagamu Interchange into a modern urban centre that sets the pace in estate development. +Grant Properties flags off construction of $10m Beautiful Gate Estate

A turning of the sod ceremony has finally kick-started activities to construct a residential estate for the Foreign Service Nationals (FSN) of the American Embassy, on a 40-hectares site along the Lekki-Epe Expressway. The ceremony is coming one year after the firm of Grant Properties Limited was hand-picked by the Embassy officials for the execution of the project estimated at US$10 million. The out-going Consular General of the Embassy, Mrs Robyn Hinson-Jones performed the ceremony at the project site last week, with the Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu in attendance. Read more
